Resilient Kids SA was established to promote resilience among children, adults, and communities. The primary focus is on strengthening families, as in vulnerable families, children are particularly susceptible to violence, poverty, abuse, and other forms of trauma. By fostering resilience in children, Resilient Kids aims to break the cycle of such adversities.

They offer various training programs for both adults and youth, organise camps and other interventions for children and youth, provide consultation services to organisations and churches interested in developing resilience-building programs for families, children and youth, and participate in networks and forums advocating for children.

Serve Together

There are several ways in which you can serve the Resilient Kids initiative:

  • Sponsoring a family to receive the training.

  • PlayMakers Club: Young adults and adults will go into schools to play and regulate their emotions to help kids deal with anger and trauma. Training will be provided.

  • GoGo Project (in development): taking 6-year-old neglected children off the streets, meeting families, and assisting with birth certificates to get the children into pre-school, so they will be off the streets, where they are very vulnerable. Assistance is needed with the admin process.

  • Pray as we work with the University of the Western Cape's OT department, collaborating on projects of social justice with fourth-year students and staff.

  • Opportunities for Mandela Day Projects and Women’s Day etc.  We can host a team build and outreach opportunity for your team.
